The can gets all squished. This is because, when you heat up the can, the water in there boils, causing some of the air in the can to be replaced with water vapor. When you invert the can quickly into the ice bath, the ice cools the can and the environment inside the can. When the water vapor in the can cools, it returns to liquid state, and so the volume of the can decreases (the can squishes) because there is less gas in the can (the water vapor gas became liquid and joined the liquid in the ice bath). The can becomes almost a vacuum, and it sucks itself inward (it can't get any more air because its only opening is below the water level of the ice bath). I hope this helps!

i would definitely not say its safe to say your not pregnant. when i was pregnant with my first son, i took two pregnancy test. first one negative, second one positive at 8 days late. second son, i took 4 pregnancy tests between the 1 day late, and when i got my bfp... on day 14!! some women get their bfp's earlier, some get them later, and some never get them unless they get a blood test done. it all depends on how strong the pregnancy hormone is in your body... it varies for each woman. so if it still doesn't show up in another 4 or 5 days, try taking another one, or go to the doctor for a blood test.

I that my dad had another child. This was not a suprising piece of information. My dad has a total of three illegitimate children that we know about it. 2/3 were conceived when he was married to my mother. My sisters and I had always thought there might be more. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also you can still bleed and be prego it is not a period but it looks like one for sure. The cramping is very normal in early stages of pregnancies.

Weird Girth Swellings? Please Explain!?

I ride a thoroughbred jumper with the typical TB sensitive skin. As long as I've known him, he has these soft, squishy bumps in his girth area that will flatten down if you press on them, and then slowly 'inflate' again. They are totally painless, and I know this because his skin is so sensitive that if he is at all uncomfortable he WILL react, and he doesn't care when you touch them. The skin on them is totally normal; they are covered in hair, and the skin isn't some weird texture. They are each about the size of a dime, maybe smaller, are risen about half an inch, and haven't gotten worse or better since I've known him. Have any clue as to what they are?

ok so my boyfriend has nvr had very high self esteem. He's promised to try and be more confident for me but last night while we were talking I said that he was too sensitive AGAIN. kinda said that he was a jerk sometimes too. The best cure for writer's block is writing. Instead of talking about all this, get busy and start writing. You can either try to outline the whole plot, break it into chapters and write the individual chapters, or you can dive right in and start at the beginning. Don't forget, you're just working on a first draft. You're going to re-write it several times before you have a finished product, so let yourself go in that first draft. You can cut out the extraneous matter later - but the important thing for now is to build up momentum and you have to start writing to do that.

Severe Dental Infection - Recovery?

So last week I had a pretty severe infection after receiving my first root c treatment. I woke up with pain and swelling the size of a softball (no joke). I had to go to the ER where I was given an IV of clindamycin. I was also put on a perscription of Clindamycin 300. The swelling went down, no more pain. The dentist saw me last monday, but did not want to continuet the root c until the infection cleared. Fast forward to today, while the swelling is 90% gone, I still have a hard bean-sized swelling under the tooth along the jaw. It almost feels like bone.. I am out of clindamycin and I hope the infection does not return. I'm also suffering from allergy type symptoms right now (runny nose, cough, may be unrelated). My question is, should I be worried about the hard bump on my jaw? Could it be that the infection damaged my bone? Is the runny nose excess phlegm any cause for concern? I go back in on Monday...

Generally co2 will need some care ( cleaning, lubricating, etc.) depending on whether you have a blow-back or a non-blow-back. Blow-backs will generally need more care but, if you do take care of it, it will pay you back in the long run. Just taking care of it properly could increase the life from months to even years! Depending on the internals and the pressure the the co2 most shoot from 350 fps - 450 fps depending on the gun (if the fps is lower than 350 the gun isn't worth the money), and if the gun have a semi and full auto feature, on full auto they tend to shoot anywhere from 3- 10 rounds per second (rps). On semi auto they shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger. Just about the only way your going to mess the gun up is by either shooting it or taking it apart, there really isn't a way to keep you gun from breaking other than what I mentioned earlier about cleaning a lubricating the gun. Nj Vacation and custody/visitation question? New Jersey?

I have custody of my niece and nephew and their natural parents have visitations on Saturdays. My nephew (14) wants to go with his grandfather on vacation, missing a Saturday visitiation with his parents. My nephew and his grandfather both got the ok from the parents. Neither parent has talked to me about it directly, however, because our relationship is strained due to their drug/alcohol abuse. I live on the opposite side of the border, in Canada, just north of Buffalo, so I understand your concerns about winter weather. The Sebring convertible will do the job just fine. Keep in mind that any vehicle with a vinyl top is not going to be as warm as a normal vehicle. Also, the vinyl top will wear out, given the cold winters and hot, humid summers. If this is a used Sebring with a 2.7L V6 engine, I would not buy the car. There were too many problems with oil sludge buildup in the engines. It's a hugely expensive repair. I don't disagree with the other poster, these are, in general, unreliable vehicles. A Mustang convertible is a much better choice, at least from a reliability standpoint. Best of luck.

Why do I always get sick when I travel?

No matter where I vacation, I always get sick (sore throat, headache,phlegm, cough). It doesn't matter what mode of transportation, plane, car, cruise ship, etc. and it doesn't matter if I'm in a big city or the countryside. I've started to sanitize the hotel rooms when I arrive, but that hasn't worked. I've gargled with hydrogen peroxide, and my last trip I used up a whole bottle, and though it helped the symptoms from worsening, i still felt lousy. "Socially deprived" as you could say?

Whats going on with my pregnancy tests!?

Ok so i have been ttc a while now. I ovulated around the 9th december, then had spotting the 17th and 19th. I have had cramps (nothing like period cramps) the sides of my bbs have been very sore and have felt heavier. I have had odd headaches an nausea without being sick untill this morning. I took a test on the 19 and straight away there was a white line on the results window with a pink shadow around it. I took this as a BFN! I have just taken another test and it did the same thing! I don't even know if this can happen, but as a Mavs fan watching the Thunder in the Conference Finals, it was hard not to be impressed by OKC. They have so much talent: Harden, Westbrook, Durant, Collison, Ibaka...and so young. For a long time I thought the Mavs getting Kidd was a big mistake but now Im starting to see the benefits of a veteran PG if he has energetic team mates around him. B/c OKCs so young if you brought in one cooler, older hand to distribute the ball...make Westbrook a forward or something ( i dont think he's a villian, I think he's young and selfish and shouldn't play point)...I think it would be really good for that team. I've never had to work a day in my life. I go to college full time for the education, but I don't exactly know what I should do in the long run because I don't actually need to work. Without going into detail, my father is very wealthy and I'm the sole heir to his fortune. Is it ok not to get a job if you don't need one? I mean, am I really "lazy" considering I just don't have to work? I am currently working on a piece called Pacaglia by Handel. I'm not sure if this is grade 6 in difficulty, but I have a hard time just practicing it. The tormentors bind him and pull him around via leash. They even make him get on his knees and eat Alpo from a dog dish.
