Can she turn on the heater while using breathing machine?

My mother is using an Invacare Platinum XL breathing unit. It's the kind that uses the air in the room and filters it to help her breathe through the nasal thing. It's getting chilly, and she wants to know if it's safe to turn on the gas heater. Also, she has several tanks of oxygen stored in the house.
