Switching ob/gyns--would you tell him first?

I'm in the market for a new ob/gyn. I have a consultation with a different doctor in a few weeks. If I like him and his practice, should I tell my current doctor, or just order a copy of my records and be done with it? I don't have a long-standing relationship with him--I've been to see him 4 times. What would you do?
