Can my husbands parents claim us if we were married less then 6 months the previous year?

My husband and I were married in Sept of 2009, he's 23 and I'm 21, his parents are talking about claiming us on their taxes. We do live in their house, rent free, they do support us, but my husband goes to school Part-time and I made over $6,000 last year. We do plan on filing jointly (can we do that?) What I want to know is Can they still claim us?
